Bible Reading: Psalm 23
Special Verse: 1 John 5: 4
For whosoever is born of God overcometh the world. And this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Life guarantees storms. Problems are not optional; they are part of living in a fallen world. One of the greatest misconceptions believers face is the idea that salvation removes all hardship. In truth, challenges often increase — but so does grace. Problems come to us in three primary ways.
First, some storms come simply because we live in a fallen world. The enemy is still at work, and opposition can arise without any fault of our own. Second, we can bring trouble upon ourselves by ignoring God’s instructions. Disobedience and poor decisions can open doors to unnecessary storms. Third, God Himself may lead us into challenging situations — not to destroy us, but to reveal what is already inside us.
Regardless of how the storm comes, God’s grace is sufficient. Scripture reminds us that in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us.
Romans 8 declares that no accusation can stand against those whom God has justified. Even when we fail, God is not condemning us — Christ is interceding for us.
The truth is this: when you understand who you are in Christ, your confession changes. Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law and restored the authority humanity lost through Adam. That means storms are not meant to drown you — they are meant to be confronted. The Bible tells us to acknowledge the good things that are already at work within us. Philemon 1:6 teaches that faith becomes effective when we recognize what Christ has placed inside us.
A conqueror’s mindset says, “This will not take me out.” Even when you do not know how you will overcome, you settle it in your heart that you will.
Say it boldly: “I am getting to the other side.”
The storm cannot overpower the God who lives within you. Stand firm. Do not cast away your confidence — it carries great reward.
You will get to the other side.
It is well with you.
