Bible Reading: Proverbs 2
Memory verse: Proverbs 2:1, “The Value of Wisdom - My son, if you receive my words, and treasure my commands within you...”
It is interesting reading the book of Proverbs and realizing the responsibility placed on us to use the word of God. What our lives become is conditioned on “IF” we receive, treasure, incline, apply, cry out the word, seek, search the word to mention a few. It is followed by a “THEN” in verse 10. God does not exercise sovereignty over the outcome of our lives. If God unilaterally influenced our lives without our consent, it will be contrary to his word which expressly says we have the right to choice. God will never break his word. He is one with his word and it’s what we do with it that determines the results we get. When we respond positively to him, we can stand back and watch the results come effortlessly because we have permitted him to take control.
