Ephesians 3:16–21
Memory Verse
Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”
Today as I woke up, the Holy Spirit guided me to Ephesians 3:20. More and more, as I study the Word of God, I realize that our greatest challenge is to understand the Scriptures from God’s perspective.
This verse indicates that our human mind isn’t capable of comprehending God’s ability toward us.
What we have in Christ is mind-blowing! This is why verses like the one that says the Word is “unsearchable” imply that it is past finding out. It is like when you think you’ve found out so much or received a ton, and then God shows you that you’ve not even scratched the surface of His knowledge or abundant supply.
This discovery or knowledge isn’t a result of works or self-effort, but comes through the grace of God. Paul reveals to us that he was the least qualified to be the harbinger of the gospel, but it was by God’s grace. The favor of God was extended to him, and he received it.
Saving up prayers and relationship with God, or asking for stuff, can never compare to what we can access through knowing who God is and who we are in Christ.
Let’s direct our energy toward renewing our minds to think like God. As we do, we allow God’s power to work in us, and we gain access to His immeasurable provision.
