Be a Positive Impact

Bible Reading: 2 Chronicles 30

Memory verse: 2 Chronicles 30:26, “So there was great joy in Jerusalem, for since the time of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel, there had been nothing like this in Jerusalem.”

This scripture refers to what resulted from King Hezekiah’s actions. The king brought back temple worship to Jerusalem. The children of Israel and Judah had walked away from God and stopped observing the feasts instituted by Moses, but during Hezekiah’s time, these were restored. Interestingly, his father, Ahaz, was an epitome of wickedness and idol worship, yet he didn’t follow after his father’s example. As soon as Hezekiah became king, he started turning Israel back to God. Many times we gripe about how bad things are. We also make excuses about our background. Spiritually, Hezekiah had the worst background you can think of, yet he chose to be an instrument of revival for the people of God.

Each morning you wake up; remember that you have been positioned where you are to make a mark that can’t be erased. Stop looking to others to change things, use what is in you, the Holy Spirit, to change your world. Have a plan, strategy to bring change, and God will cause you to succeed.
