Bible Reading: Proverbs 2:1-5
Special Verse: Jeremiah 29:13 –
"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
A successful Christian life doesn’t happen by accident—it requires intentional effort. We are born again when we confess and believe in Jesus as our Lord and Savior. At that moment, God gives us a new birth by placing His Spirit within us, making us entirely new creations. However, while our spirit is renewed, our soul and body remain unchanged. It then becomes our responsibility, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to grow and walk in the fullness of God’s purpose for us.
Proverbs 2 emphasizes the active role we must take in seeking God, using phrases like “receive my words,” “treasure up,” “incline your heart,” and “search for it.” These actions are key to understanding the fear of the Lord and gaining His wisdom (Proverbs 2:5). It is through this knowledge that our faith grows, enabling us to access God’s promises and live in a way that pleases Him.
Jesus calls us to surrender anything that hinders our pursuit of Him. With Christ, it’s all or nothing. Make it your daily goal to seek Him with intention, and you will experience the true freedom and joy that come with knowing Him.
