Bible Reading: Psalm 133
Special Verse: Acts 2:46
"And continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their meat with gladness and singleness of heart."
Some Christians try to journey through their faith in solitude, but this approach has no biblical foundation. Believers are not likened to solitary animals like bears or lions. As Charles Spurgeon eloquently put it, “Those who belong to Christ are sheep in this respect, that they love to get together. Sheep go in flocks, and so do God’s people.”
Jesus refers to us as the sheep of His pasture, emphasizing our need for community. Psalm 133 highlights the beauty and power of believers dwelling together in unity, likening it to precious oil flowing freely—a symbol of God's anointing.
The early church serves as an example of this unity. In Acts 2:46, believers gathered daily in homes, shared meals, prayed, and fellowshipped with glad hearts. This unity allowed the power of God to manifest in their lives and the community around them.
It’s time to embrace this principle once more. Christianity is about being part of God’s family—recognizing Him as our Father and connecting with one another in love and unity. When we come together as one, we open the door to experiencing the fullness of God’s blessings and plans for us.
