Confession of Faith Changes Things

Confession of Faith Changes Things

Bible Reading: Mark 11:12-24

Memory verse: Revelations 12:11, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

Sometime ago, I shared about the power we have in our words and about a six year old boy who struggled with saying the name of Jesus. I remember asking him to speak some positive things over his life, but it was a battle. Well, at a point the devil told me what I was doing wasn’t working. However, I asked the Holy Spirit if I was making progress. He encouraged me to stand my ground in repeating the words to this little boy.

Well, a couple of days ago, children at the church were being asked to say what they are thankful for. This boy said something like this, “I am thankful to God because Mrs. Jack says Jesus has set me free”. Everyone aware of the little boy’s challenges was overwhelmed with gratitude and encouraged to hear him say this. We are gradually seeing the manifestation of the power of God and how it is setting him free.

I am sharing this because I want you to be encouraged, and hold fast to your confession. Don’t ever stop exercising authority through prayer, it may not happen overnight, but surely you will reap the fruit of your faith. Keep walking by faith. The Word works.
