Nugget of Truth: All You Need is a seed

Special Verse: Genesis 8:22, KJV:

"While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."

 Bible reading: Genesis 12:1-3, 22:1-3

When God called Abraham in Genesis 12, he promised to make him a father of many nations. Abraham probably thought he was going to have several children. After 25 years, he had only two children, the second child was Isaac, who was the promised child. With the miracle of birthing Isaac, Abraham came to know he nothing was impossible with God.

Sometime later, God asked him to sacrifice Isaac. The story is found in Genesis 22. Abraham didn't wait a day to do so. Isaac was the single seed, which was all God needed to bring billions of children for Abraham. No matter where we are in life, we are never seedless and that is all God needs from us to bring us to the place of walking in his abundance and being a blessing to the world. We must be willing to obey God when he asks us to give up the seed.

Remember that the blessings of God start with a seed which we all have. I have learned that we have a God that is an expert at using the insignificant that is given to him to work wonders. His reason for asking for a seed is to increase us not diminish us.
