Bible Reading: Psalm 32:7-11
Special Verse: Isaiah 30:21
And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
Many Christians who really desire to fulfill their calling have a tendency to get anxious about if it will become a reality. If you are like me, my greatest desire is to hear the savior tell me "Well done good and faithful servant enter into the joy of your master". Several times I have felt that I am far from completing my calling and sometimes wonder about its fulfillment.
Recently, I hear the Spirit telling me to relax. He made me understand that the most important thing is daily obedience to his voice.. He said that is what brings about his ultimate calling. He pointed out to me that Jesus lived a very short life. In fact history suggests that Jesus' ministry was not more than three and half years. He reminded me that I should never think my age is an issue if i daily respond positively to his leading.
A typical person in the Bible worthy of note is Ananias who was sent to pray for Saul to receive his sight. That single act of obedience is all we know of him in scripture. It however made it possible for Saul to become Paul and go ahead to change the world. In conclusion a daily obedience is what God asks for.
