Bible Reading: John 11:14-27
Memory verse: John 10:17, “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. 18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from my Father.”
This scripture is loaded with revelations that have transformed my mindset about death Death could not kill Jesus. The torture he went through couldn’t kill him either. He had to lay his life on his own accord and pick it back up after three days. How was that possible? Simply because, death is not the death of the physical body. When Jesus gave up the ghost he only transited out of the physical body but he was still a spirit being. When he went to hell, he dictated what went on. After three days, he was able to come back to his body by the power of the Holy Spirit and he lives forever more. Glory to God.
Children of God must understand the awesome power that dwells in them and realize that death isn’t such a big deal. We must not allow our lives to be cut short by the devil, refuse to let him kill you. On the other hand, even if a loved one dies in Christ, in the light of this, it is no big deal. They only changed address, it’s a matter of time we shall see them in glory. Either way, we win. Even in the grave JESUS IS LORD.
