Scripture Focus: John 1: 1-14;
Special Verse: Numbers 23:19
God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
Many people ask, “But what about Christians who suffered and died from illness?” I don’t deny those realities. But one thing must be settled: we do not use human experience to define Scripture. We use Scripture to correct our experience.
The Word of God is eternal. It is above trends, news cycles, and personal stories. The Bible says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” And then it says, “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” That Word is Jesus Christ Himself.
If the Word is Jesus, then trusting the Word is trusting Jesus. And Jesus said heaven and earth will pass away, but His Word will never pass away. That means the Word will not fail. Faith in God’s Word is not fragile—it is solid. Numbers tells us God is not a man that He should lie. If God promised, He will do it. So in uncertain times, God calls us to anchor our hope in Him—not in fear, not in statistics, and not in other people’s outcomes.
There is nothing new under the sun. Pestilences, plagues, and storms have existed throughout history. But God made provision ahead of time. His written Word is not just information—it is divine provision, divine insurance, and divine guarantee.
Prayer:
Lord, forgive me for measuring Your Word by people’s experiences—including my own. I choose to trust You completely. Your Word is truth, and You do not lie. In Jesus’ name, amen
Declaration:
God’s Word will never fail. My faith is anchored in what God has said, not in what I see
