Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.
Many Christians struggle to believe God for great things because they’ve been conditioned to view the pursuit of abundance as sinful. Meanwhile, when non-Christians make ambitious plans, they’re often celebrated and encouraged. This disparity is puzzling, especially when we consider that our Heavenly Father, who owns everything in the universe, would never desire His children to have small, limited dreams.
Creation itself reveals God’s character. He is a God of abundance, excellence, and grand design. Consider the scope of His works: when Jesus came to earth, the mission was to save all of humanity, not just a select few. When God instructed Noah to build the ark, it was designed to house two of every land animal. Our God specializes in doing big things, and He promises to exceed what we can ask, think, or imagine.
This is why we are called to dream big. Not only can we not out-imagine God, but the bigger we dream, the more He exceeds our expectations. Our task is simple: sit at His feet, listen to His voice, receive the vision, write it down, and begin working towards it.
With God in your dreams, nothing is impossible—if you believe.
