Bible Reading: Psalm 90:12-17
Memory verse: Psalm 90:12, “So teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
Many times we say life is short, yet we live our lives like we have forever to fulfill God’s purpose. Let us live each day with the consciousness that we have a divine purpose to accomplish. No one fulfills a purpose or succeeds by chance. For example, you cannot graduate from college or maintain a job by chance. You need to be actively involved in the processes that are required. We all have a part to play in our destinies. In fact, being complacent indicates that you are saying no to a positive outcome.
One of the things that slow us down is living in past hurts and disappointments. If you are driving a car and your eyes are on the rear view mirror, a crash is inevitable. Always remind yourself that you can’t change the past. Rather, change your attitude and reaction to what life throws at you. Live for today and reach for tomorrow. Let your life count, and inspire others to be the best they can be for God. Lay up for yourself treasures in Heaven with the love and life of Christ you spread daily. It is not the big things you do that matter the most, but the little things you do daily that actually impact your destiny
