Faith Speaks Before It Sees

One of the things that differentiates Christianity from other belief systems is that it demands faith. To be a Christian, you live by faith and talk by faith.
This belief system was present in the lives of the Old Testament believers. The prophets spoke of the grace and salvation that would come through Jesus Christ, even though they did not fully understand when or how these things would happen. Their lives were filled with prophecies about the life, death, and work of Jesus Christ.
They spoke without fully understanding how or when these things would happen. Yet they spoke in faith, and some even laid down their lives for the prophecies they declared. This is why Scripture says that the world was not worthy of them.
This same life of faith is required of us today. Faith calls those things that be not as though they were. Throughout the Old Testament, the prophets were actively speaking God’s plan of salvation into existence. Jesus could not have come without God’s Word first being spoken.
In the same way, if we do not prophesy the purposes of God for our lives and our generation, they cannot come to pass. God made man to rule on the earth, and He works through our partnership to execute His Kingdom reign and purposes.
It is time for us to agree with God and declare His Word over the earth, our lives, our families, and our generation. We must not allow what we currently see to determine what we say. Faith speaks what God has said before it sees the manifestation.
