Fellowship with God is Primary

Fellowship with God is Primary

BIBLE READING LUKE 10:38-42

Special Verse: 2 Corinthians 13:14

Now may the grace of God, the love of Jesus, and the sweet communion of the Holy Spirit, rest, rule, and abide now, henceforth and forevermore.

The story of Jesus in the home of Mary and Martha is an illustration of how we ought to relate to the Holy Spirit in this generation. Most Christians are like Martha, keeping themselves busy with legitimate things and ignoring the presence of God in their lives. On the other hand few are like Mary who make fellowship with the Spirit their only life goal. Jesus clearly said that the most important thing in life is fellowship with him. In our own dispensation, it is fellowship with the Holy Spirit who is the manifestation of the God Head. Being filled with the Holy Spirit isn't only about speaking in tongues. It is a tool to help enhance of communion with the Holy Spirit.

Once  we receive the Holy Spirit baptism, we are endued with power from on high. Speaking in tongues is beautiful and should sharpen our sensitivity to the Spirit. Today ask the Holy Spirit to teach you what it means to fellowship with him. Every other thing falls into place when we cultivate this area of our lives
