Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Memory verse: 2 Corinthians 3:18, “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
Yesterday, I shared Jacob’s strategy for increase. The above scripture further helps us see the power of vision, and what you behold. Regardless of where you are today, you can get to where you want to be by beholding it in your heart. I can remember years ago when my marriage was literally falling apart, and I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t see it working, but I was desperately crying to God. I heard the Spirit of God tell me gently that I needed to change my mental picture of what I saw happening in my marriage. He told me clearly that I would not succeed if that didn’t happen. This was the most difficult job, renewing my mind about my marriage. I committed to doing it, and gradually, things started to turn around. So your life is being changed into the image of what you are beholding. If positive, the Spirit of God works, but when negative, the forces of darkness are at work to bring to pass your negative image. So set your heart to change what you are beholding to be what God says about you in His Word. Finally, the change is “From glory to glory” i.e., from one level to another, it doesn’t happen overnight; you must constantly and continually behold your end result.
