God is Faithful to Protect You.

God is Faithful to Protect You.

Bible Reading: GENESIS 20:1-11
Special Verse: Isaiah 41:10

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Like Abraham, we often lean towards self-preservation, focusing on protecting ourselves even if it impacts others. Abraham faced this in Gerar; he allowed fear to overshadow God’s promise to make him the father of many nations. This fear drove him to lie about Sarah being his sister, placing Abimelek, an innocent man, at risk. But God is always true to His promises. Abraham knew God was the one who called him to leave his father’s house and journey into unknown lands. When we trust fully in God’s presence, without doubt, we won’t feel the need to defend ourselves. Instead, we’ll rest in His protection and let Him be our Jehovah Nissi.

God knew every challenge we would face long before He made promises to us. His words are unchanging; as Scripture says, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” God has even exalted His word above His name. Notice that while Abraham was living in fear, unaware, God was speaking to Abimelek in a dream to protect Sarah.

Are you afraid of what is afraid of you? Remember, God is working behind the scenes on your behalf, even in situations you cannot see.
