God is Not Offended by Our Questions

God is Not Offended by Our Questions

Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 2:8-12

Memory verse: Isaiah 1:18, “Come now, and let us reason together,’ Says the LORD, ‘Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool..”

I saiah 55:8 says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts and neither are your ways my ways,’ says the Lord.” We need to remember that this is true in the context of a canal person, the person who chooses to live in the natural realm. You can either choose to live according to the Spirit / living by the word of God or the flesh. Romans 8:5-6 states “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” 1 Corinthians 2:11-12 states, “Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.” When you read the whole of this scripture, you will see that God wants to reveal things to us - His entire will for us. In fact, the information is already in our spirit, but we struggle to access them because of our carnal mindedness. You will find this in 1 John 2:20, 27.

When we renew our minds, we will know God’s will and our questions will be answered, then God ceases to be mysterious. Romans 12:1-2 makes it clear, we can know God’s will, His perfect will, through His word. Our minds have to be trained to receive the things of the spirit, for through the Spirit; we receive answers from God and understand Him better. God longs to be open to us because he wants us to be his friends indeed.
