God’s Plan of Redemption
Bible Reading : Genesis 31-:15
Special Verse:
Genesis 3:15 “He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”
When sin entered the world, humanity lost the life of God within. The relationship between God and mankind was broken, but God immediately revealed His plan to restore it. In Genesis, God declared that the seed of the woman would crush the head of the serpent. This was the first promise of redemption. God was revealing that one day a Savior would come who would defeat sin and restore humanity.
The prophets later spoke more clearly about this promise. Isaiah prophesied:
Isaiah 7:14 — “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”
Immanuel means “God with us.” This prophecy revealed that the Savior would not simply be a prophet or teacher. He would be God coming to dwell among humanity. Unfortunately, Muslims have been taught to believe that Jesus was just a prophet and not God in human flesh. The truth is that Jesus himself made claims that made him equal to God and if indeed he was a prophet, we have to accept his claims. It’s either he is who he said he is or he is a false prophet. However, everything Jesus said about himself is true.
The birth of Jesus fulfilled this prophecy in Isaiah 7. He was born of a virgin, conceived by the Holy Spirit. This meant that Jesus did not inherit the fallen nature of Adam. Instead, He came into the world as the perfect sacrifice who could restore humanity.
God’s redemption plan was unfolding exactly as He had promised centuries earlier.
