God’s tests are not for our loss

God’s tests are not for our loss

Bible Reading: GENESIS 22:8-18
Special Verse: Hebrews 11:6

“And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

God never asks us to surrender anything to Him to diminish us; instead, He does so to prepare us for greater blessings and responsibilities. These tests of faith are designed to elevate us to levels beyond our imagination. Sadly, many of us focus only on what we have or where we are, missing the bigger picture. I believe that Abraham was willing to let go of Isaac because he had come to know God as the One who makes the impossible possible—the God who blessed him with a child at the age of 100.

When we keep God’s miracles at the forefront of our minds, giving becomes easier. Remembering how far God has brought us and acknowledging that every blessing is by His grace, not by our efforts, strengthens our willingness to surrender to Him. It’s His grace alone that gives us all things, so even our failures and sins don’t disqualify us from His goodness. Obeying God’s instructions is an act of faith, and faith is what pleases Him (Hebrews 11:6).

Today, choose to build your "faith muscle" by meditating on God’s promises, knowing that He who promised is faithful. Just as He was faithful to Abraham, He will be faithful to you.
