Bible Reading: Esther 2:15-20
Memory verse: Esther 2:15, “Now when the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his daughter, to go in to the king, she requested nothing but what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the custodian of the women, advised. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her.”
Wow, what a woman of God Esther was. May God raise more youth with Esther’s mindset. It is amazing that even after she became the queen of Persia, she continued to obey Mordecai. In the United States, children are made to understand that once they turn 18, they are adults. Many decide that they don’t have to obey their parents. Common sense instructions from parents are very important. Unfortunately, the spirit of rebellion that is prevalent in many young people of this generation has led countless into a life time of heartache and pain because they wouldn’t listen to godly authority. As adults, it is important for us to submit to God’s authority even when we don’t understand why He asks us to do certain things. There are promotions we will never attain if we don’t let Him lead us. Esther became queen because she submitted to the authorities in her life, even at the risk of losing her life.
