Good People Can Go to Hell

Good People Can Go to Hell

Bible Reading: Acts 4:1-12

Memory verse: Acts 4:12, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

The answer to your prayer or salvation is not based on what you do. If the good works a sinner does can’t get them into heaven, neither can your sins take you to hell. The Bible states in Isaiah 64:6 that all our own good works are like filthy rags in God’s sight. It is only Jesus’ righteousness that gets you into Heaven. If you miss hell by an inch, it is the same as missing it by a mile. There is no hell number 1, 2, or 3. Your only security for eternal salvation is Jesus, not a last minute confession of a sin just committed. In that way, none of us when we get into Heaven will take any glory in ourselves. God wants you as His child to rest in the finished work of Jesus because if you have committed your life to Him, He is able to keep you till that day. Know who you have believed in, your sin does not make Him throw you into hell. However, anyone who rejects Him and His work on the cross will spend eternity in hell (2 Timothy 1:12). Learn to live in the grace of God, it makes sin unattractive.
