Memory verse: Psalm 78:2, “Because they did not believe in God and did not trust in His salvation. v23 “Yet He had commanded the clouds above, And opened the doors of heaven.”
I t is presumptuous to think that miracles will always change people’s hearts. But the truth is that permanent change in the Christian life comes as a result of feeding on God’s word and fellowship.
The children of Israel experienced the greatest miracles imaginable yet their hearts were still hardened because they didn’t know the Holy One of Israel on a personal level. They sought his hand (and got it) but not his face. People may attend meetings during which the Spirit of God does miracles for them yet their lives remain the same. They go back to their old ways because they have no hunger for God or his word. What we need most in life is not another miracle but to know him. When you know him, your life becomes a daily miracle.
