Bible reading: Ephesians 2:1-10
Memory Verse: 2 Peter 1:3, “His divine power has given onto us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who has called us to glory and virtue.”
Paul was very conscious of his lack of qualification and inability to qualify for the ministry of Jesus Christ. On his own, he understood no good work could qualify him to be used of God. It is interesting to note that God chose and called us from the foundation of the world, not because of what we do but because of his great love for us.
It is a tragedy that after getting born again many start to think they need to qualify themselves. This makes us to constantly feel that we fall short. However, when you know you are already chosen, you will realize you are already packaged, our new man comes fully loaded with all the abilities we need to complete the good works preordained by God. Having this mindset is what actually causes you to stir away from a lifestyle that will hinder you from fulfilling God’s ultimate purpose for your life. Finally, God’s purpose is awesome and there is nothing we can do to qualify for it.
