It Is Never A Good Time to Give Up

Bible Reading: Hebrews 6:9-14

Special Verse: Hebrews 6:12

that ye be not slothful, but followers of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

The Spirit of God is reminding us this morning: stay persistent in what you’re believing for. Persistence is what brings results. Unfortunately, many of God’s children give up too easily. Yet His Word tells us, “Do not grow weary in well-doing, for at the proper time, you will reap a harvest if you do not give up” (Galatians 6:9).

There is always a lapse between sowing, tending, and reaping. If you stop short of reaping, there will be no harvest.

Consider a farmer who plants seeds. Depending on the crop, it may take years to see the first harvest. In the meantime, they tend the crop, waiting patiently and persistently. What keeps them going is the anticipation of the harvest. They don’t abandon the process because they understand that growth takes time.

This is a lesson for all of us in life’s journey. Every promise of God takes time to come to fruition, but the challenge is that we don’t know how long the process will take. That’s why we are called to trust and persevere.

The Bible encourages us to look to the heroes of faith. Their stories remind us that they prevailed because they didn’t give up on God.

So, don’t give up! God is faithful to perform His Word, and in due time, you will see His promises fulfilled.
