It’s on God’s Terms, Not Ours

It’s on God’s Terms, Not Ours

Bible Reading: Matthew 22:1-22
Key Verse: Matthew 22:3
"He sent his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding feast, but they refused to come."

In the parable of the wedding feast, Jesus illustrates God’s immense love for us by extending an open invitation to His banquet. Anyone is welcome to attend—but there’s one condition: we must come the right way, clothed in the garment He provides.

Sadly, many people reject this invitation for trivial reasons. One guest refused to come because he had business to attend to. Doesn’t that sound like those who neglect time with God—prayer, Bible study, and fellowship—because of work or other distractions? This happens when we fail to recognize the true value of communion with Him.

Are you too busy to spend time with the King of Kings? Do you try to approach God on your own terms, like the man who entered without the proper attire? Remember, coming to God is a choice, but when we choose Him, we must come clothed in the righteousness given to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
