Bible Reading: Ephesians 2:1-9
Special Verse: Micah 7:19
He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
It is easy to be trapped by a guilty conscience when we focus on observing the laws. An understanding of true grace will change that. Whenever you fix you eyes on your failure to obey all the commandments, you will always feel a sense of unworthiness .
The truth is that we all fall short of God's glory but each of us must choose what we will focus on. You either focus on your failures or on Jesus' accomplishments by his death and resurrection. Jesus paid for our sins and built a bridge to get us to God's best. When we pray, it becomes critical what we focus on. Remember you can never be good enough for a prayer to be answered, even your protracted confessions of sin do not qualify you.
The secret is to come by the blood and the cross, regardless of where you have been or are. Let that name JESUS be your security and watch miracles happen.
