Bible Reading: John 10:14-18
Memory verses: John 10:17-18, “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.”
J esus said these words shortly before He was crucified. He knew fully well all He was going to suffer but had decided that the torture would not kill Him. The 39 strokes could not kill Him, the blood loss and the cross He carried couldn’t either. He didn’t die until He was ready to give up His life. Interestingly too, was that He took it back up at His resurrection. The same spirit and power that was in Christ dwells in us because the fullness of the God head is in us. Be encouraged to know that nothing can overcome us if we don’t let it. Remember we are created from the beginning to exercise dominion. That plan has not changed because Jesus gave us back our authority through His death and resurrection, so think dominion today.
