Neither is there any other name given under heaven by which we might be saved except the name of Jesus.
Over the weekend, while I was out sharing the gospel, I asked a lady if she knew where she'd spend eternity should she die today. She told me she believed she would spend it in heaven. When asked why, she couldn't give a reason. Many people in the world are like the lady. Some hope that "God will not send them to hell", as if it is God that decides who goes to hell or heaven.
Every person controls his eternal destiny. God did not leave us in darkness regarding what we need to do to avoid a Christless eternity. It is as simple as receiving Jesus, believing in his name and realising that prior to this you loved sin and walked in darkness. Humbling yourself through repentance and confessing Christ as the Lord of your life guarantees your eternal destiny.
Remember that trusting in your good works will never save you because you can never be good enough. Only believing, receiving and confessing Christ will save you.
