Peace Within, Peace Outside

Peace Within, Peace Outside

Bible Reading: Philippians 4:4-9

Memory verse: James 4:1, “Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members?”

Never blame others when you get in to a fight because when you are at peace within, no one can drag you into a fight. Your fights are a result of your internal battles. The secret to internal peace and external peace as pointed out in James is to trust and receive from God whatever you desire. Unanswered prayers can be a source of external conflict because you become envious of what others have as if that has depleted God’s resources. However, when you change your reason for asking to become a desire for the kingdom of God to be enlarged, the blessings of God will start to manifest in your life. When you come to the realization that all things are yours in Christ, you won’t have to compete with others or be jealous of them. Make the knowledge of God your priority by seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all things shall be added unto you.
