Poverty and Sickness Do Not Glorify God

Bible reading: Psalm 25:12-5

Memory verse: Psalm 35:27, “Let them shout for joy, and be glad, who favor my righteous cause: Yea, let them say continually, ‘Let the Lord be magnified’, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”

We have glorified poverty and sickness as if they are from God. We were made to believe that poverty and godliness/holiness are synonymous. In the process, the world took control of our wealth leaving us to pinch pennies. Remember the saying “as poor as a church rat”. This implies that rats that live in the church are very poor. What an insult to Christianity. Harvard, Yale and Princeton University were all founded on a Christian world view, the Puritans started them. Yet today they have become so circularized and humanist in their teaching that it is unbelievable. We are in a dilemma of what to do with our children’s education because although we are concerned about the public school system, the average Christian can’t afford private education. The money bag unbelievers are now pushing their evil agendas and children of God are stuck. If we don’t get violent and take back our finances, we are in trouble. In this times, we all need to learn to walk in God’s abundance so that we can be free to give to the gospel, meet our needs and also have excess to fund our children’s education. Many people look for free education but right now in many places it is toxic and a danger to our children.
