Bible Reading: Job 2:9-13
Memory verse: Job 19:27, “Whom I shall see for myself, And my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my [a]heart yearns within me!”
No matter what you’re going through, remember God is for you, not against you. Even if you have sinned, He is not against you. Job saw hell on earth and couldn’t understand why his life had turned upside down. Yet, his heart never stopped longing for God, and his answers. His physical and mental suffering never made him not to desire to seek God. Even though he assumed God was the one afflicting him, he was never angry with God. I am convinced this was because his relationship with God went beyond the “God-give-me” level. This means it was not materialist. Job did not follow God because of what he knew he could get. Job held on to his faith. Another thing he had was his confidence of eternal salvation. There’s nothing greater than knowing that today’s trouble will come to pass. Be encouraged, this too will come to pass.
