Remembering God’s Faithfulness is a Faith Booster

Remembering God’s Faithfulness is a Faith Booster

Scripture Reference: Exodus 14:10-31
Special Verse: Deuteronomy 20:1

"When you go out to battle against your enemies and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, is with you."

The size of your problem is not an indicator of your defeat. Instead, it should remind you of who is in you and with you. To overcome life’s battles, here are two key actions:

  1. Remember what God has brought you through in the past.

  2. Speak to yourself repeatedly to not be afraid or fainthearted.

The God who delivered you before will deliver you again.

When Pharaoh and his army pursued Israel at the Red Sea, God was not unsettled because He already had a plan for their rescue. He even told Moses to stop crying out and take action. If Israel had reflected on the ten plagues, they would have been reassured of God’s ability to save them.

Likewise, if you keep your focus on God’s greatness and faithfulness, you’ll find peace in the face of adversity. The next time trouble knocks, remind yourself of all that God has already done, and trust that He will do it again.
