Saved for A Time Like This

Bible Reading: Esther 4

Special Verse: Esther 4:14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

Today most people in the church are how Esther was prior to Mordecai’s confrontation. At the time when Haman was cooking up the plan to eliminate the Jews, Esther was coasting in her relationship with her husband, the king. He hadn't invited her in for 30 days and it didn't seem to be a big deal to her. For many of us our relationship with the Lord has cooled off and we don't seem to be bothered. Like Esther, we are the only ones wearing the royal robe and have access to the throne. In the New Testament, we wear the robe of righteousness.

Esther was the one positioned to intercede for mercy for the Jews who had a sentence of death hanging on them. She didn’t understood why she  became queen until Mordecai pointed it out to her. We are royalty in the  body of Christ  for a time like this, to bring deliverance to a hopeless world. It is time for each of us to lay down our personal agendas, arise and go before God in prayer for this lost world. The church is the only hope for this sin sick and depraved world, it is not an accident that we are alive and saved at this time. If we remain silent, God will raise other deliverers but we will suffer the consequence of silence.
