Bible Reading: Proverbs 6
Memory verse Proverbs 6:32, “Whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding; He who does so destroys his own soul.”
The society and the entertainment industry tell us it is fun and fulfilling to commit adultery and different forms of illicit sex (sex outside marriage). They pretend that no one gets hurt. They don’t make the connection between extra-marital sex and emotional hurts. The Bible says you lack understanding when you commit adultery. Adultery is sex outside marriage. Sexual immorality destroys and hurt you emotionally. Emotional problems are the root of many of the problems we have in society today. There is a saying, “Hurt people, hurt people”. As teachers, we deal daily with broken homes and broken children. Many of whom are angry, rebellious, abusive and struggle with learning in school. The church is called to be a voice and standard for purity. That is the only way to turn around the tide and bring healing to the society
