Bible Reading: Psalm 63
Special Verse: Mark 1:35
"And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed."
Some believers may feel that waking up early to spend time with God isn't necessary. However, a closer look at Jesus’ life shows that this was His consistent practice. Likewise, David, the psalmist, often spoke of rising early to seek God. It’s no wonder God called him a man after His heart.
The early morning hours are special—quiet and undistracted, providing an opportunity to commune with God before the demands of the day begin. Making this a habit doesn’t stem from obligation but from a deep desire to connect with the lover of your soul.
Starting your day with God equips you with a sense of peace, focus, and assurance that your Heavenly Father is watching over you. If this is a new habit for you, begin with just 15 minutes earlier than your usual wake-up time and gradually increase it as you grow.
Remember: Prioritizing time with God in the morning transforms your outlook and sets the tone for your day.
