Stop Begging—Start Speaking

Stop Begging—Start Speaking

Scripture: Mark 11:23; Mark 4:39–40

In the boat, the disciples asked a question many believers still ask: “Don’t You care?” But Jesus didn’t answer with sympathy—He answered with authority. He rebuked the wind and commanded the sea: “Peace, be still.” And creation obeyed Him.

Then He turned and asked the real question: “Where is your faith?”

Jesus wasn’t being harsh—He was revealing a kingdom pattern: God has not called you to be a victim of storms or a mountain climber. He has called you to be a mountain mover and a storm stopper. Mark 11:23 says if you believe, you can speak to the mountain, and it will move.

That means there are moments when God is not waiting to “do something” for you—He is waiting for you to use what He already gave you:

  • His Word

  • His Name

  • His authority

Faith is like a muscle. If you never use it, it feels weak. But the more you practice speaking God’s Word into real situations—your health, mind, finances, family—the stronger your faith becomes. And yes, the first time you start exercising it, resistance may rise. But don’t back down. Keep speaking until the storm answers to the command of Christ.

Today’s invitation: stop treating God like He’s unaware of your trouble. He cares—and He empowered you. Speak to what is not of God, and persist until it bows.
