Isaiah 8:18 – Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.
Reflection:
One of the hallmarks of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in these last days will be divine, supernatural visitations that connect people to destiny changers. This was evident in the book of Acts, where many experienced dreams, visions, angelic encounters, and direct communication from God. Without these supernatural experiences, many would not have been saved, and key doors for ministry would have remained closed.
For example, Saul of Tarsus encountered Jesus on his way to Damascus, leading to his radical transformation. God then gave Ananias a vision, emboldening him to minister to Saul and usher him into the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Another powerful example is Philip the evangelist, whom God led to the Ethiopian eunuch. After leading him to Christ, Philip was supernaturally transported to another location. It is believed that the Ethiopian eunuch played a significant role in bringing the gospel to Africa.
This is why Scripture declares that we and the children God has given us are for signs and wonders. As we seek God and desire His move in our time, let us believe that what He did in the book of Acts, He will do again—on an even greater scale.
