T he Love Of Money is the Root Of All Evil

T he Love Of Money is the Root Of All Evil

Bible Reading: Genesis 25:20-34

Memory verse: 1 Timothy 6:11, “But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”

Peter admonished the man of God to flee from the love of money and personal gain. As people of God, we are told to put our energy into things that lift up the name of Jesus. As a Nigerian I hear about all the hardship and the government is blamed for it. In America public schools have been told to make their bathroom’s gender neutral. Everywhere you go on earth, there is trouble. Many look to governments for answers instead of to God. Most children of God’s will not take certain jobs even if God audibly spoke to them because “it does not pay them enough”.

We must all remember we already have the answer to all life’s problems -Christ in us the hope of glory. Every day you wake up choose to live on the word (fight the good fight of faith). Laying hold on eternal life means holding onto the very life and nature flowing in your veins. See your provision in Christ not a government system. See your healing in Christ not an insurance policy. See your place as a member of the kingdom of God not an immigration system or citizenship. Confess the Lordship of Jesus both in words and choices do not sell your convictions for a pot of pottage like Esau did.
