What you are saying today is shaping your future because you speak from your heart. Take time each day to listen to yourself. It is amazing how much negative things come out of our mouths. Notice that if you listen to romantic music and read similar novels, they will create an appetite for the erotic in you. It is the words you assimilate that create appetites in you. You will find it difficult to resist romantic overtures.
Also, don’t also let others speak negative words in to your life. The only way to change this is to soak in the word of God because it will change your perspective to life and consequently how you speak. God is calling us to recondition our thinking by limiting our exposure to the world’s information. Joel Osteen rightly said, the news is repeated every 30 minutes. You are not meant to sit for hours listening to it over and over. Learn to turn off the news channels after watching for 30 minutes because they will surely make you a negative person if you don’t.
