Take Your Stand

Take Your Stand

Bible Reading: James 4:6-12

Special Verse: James 4:7

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

It is natural to become overwhelmed when challenges come. However,  do not panic. Take your stand on the Word of God because heaven and earth will pass away, but God’s Word will never fail. You need to find a scripture that you can stand on.  God’s word is solid on rock on which you know will never let you sink. There will always be  scriptures that apply to your situation, take time to search them out.. Remember that God does not perform His Word because of your righteousness—He performs it because of Jesus Christ. God is obligated to His Word when you believe.

Hold on. Declare, “I will not die. I will not give up until I receive the end of my faith.”
The scripture commands us to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God. Humility means making God’s Word the final authority in your life. It means that you don’t exault your circumstances above God’s word. Your position is, “If God said it, I believe it and that settles it.”

No matter what the doctors say, no matter what your bank account says, no matter what people say—say what God says. Keep saying it until it looks foolish to others. Eventually, those same people will say, “Wow… this really works.”

So no matter what news you’ve heard today—don’t panic. Stand your ground. Find a scripture. Make it your confession. Meditate on it. Hold fast.

One thing you can be sure of is that if you don’t give up, the enemy will give in.
