Devotional
Giving has always been God's expectation for His children. Throughout Scripture, God's people willingly supported His work. In the Old Testament, they gave generously for the service of the temple, and in the New Testament, believers supported those who devoted themselves to preaching the gospel. Giving has always been an expression of worship, gratitude, and trust in God.
God desires that we become intentional in our giving rather than giving only when it is convenient. Intentional generosity reflects a heart that recognizes God as the source of every blessing and desires to partner with Him in advancing His Kingdom.
As I reflected on this truth, I made a deliberate decision to increase my giving during the month. When I sat down and calculated everything I had given, I realized it amounted to almost 40% of my income. My first thought was, "That's too much." But immediately I sensed the gentle whisper of the Holy Spirit saying, "I'm blessing you so much so you can give more."
That moment transformed my perspective. I realized that despite giving generously to God's Kingdom and to others, I still had more than enough left for myself—more than I had ever had before. God reminded me personally that generosity does not impoverish His children. Instead, He faithfully supplies everything we need and demonstrates that His provision is greater than our calculations.
Deuteronomy 8:18 teaches that God gives us the power to obtain wealth so that He may establish His covenant on the earth. The resources He entrusts to us are not merely for our comfort but for advancing His Kingdom, supporting the work of the gospel, and becoming a blessing to others.
Jesus reinforced this principle when He said, "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). As we make God's priorities our own, He faithfully takes care of ours. When we take care of God's business, He takes care of our business.
Never believe the lie that giving diminishes you. In God's Kingdom, generosity produces spiritual growth, deepens our trust in Him, and becomes a channel through which His blessings flow to others. My own experience reminded me of a timeless truth: you can never outgive God.

Prayer
Father, thank You for being my Provider and the source of every blessing in my life. Help me to trust You completely with the resources You have placed in my hands. Deliver me from fear, greed, and the belief that generosity leaves me with less. Teach me to seek first Your Kingdom and to give joyfully, knowing that You are faithful to supply all my needs according to Your riches in glory. May my life and my finances become instruments for advancing Your gospel and establishing Your covenant on the earth. In Jesus' name, Amen.
