The Good Life is God’s Free Gift to Us

The Good Life is God’s Free Gift to Us

BIBLE READING : JOHN 15:4-8

Memory Verse: John 15:7 (NIV)
“If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”

Prosperity, good health, and peace of mind, among other blessings, are not rewards for following God. Instead, they are the natural manifestations of God's life within us. If they were rewards, it would imply that we earned them, but we cannot earn God’s goodness—it is a gift received through Christ’s finished work.

In John 15:7, Jesus tells us that if we abide in Him and His Word abides in us, we can ask for anything, and it will be given to us. This is a profound truth. When someone walks closely with God and His Word, they won’t ask for anything until they understand the Father’s will. Once they know God’s will and pray accordingly, no force can stop that prayer from being fulfilled.

This is why Jesus also says in Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and you will receive.” When we ask in alignment with God's will, we can trust that it is ours to receive. God desires for us to claim our answers by faith, holding on until we see them come to pass. That’s why staying in God’s Word and in His presence is essential for living a victorious life.
