Bible Reading: Romans 8:26-27
Memory verse: Romans 8:27, “Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”
Many people think that speaking in tongues is ridiculous. That is understandable because the wisdom of God is foolishness to man. Over the years, I have meditated on Romans 8:26-27 and my eyes were opened to the importance of striving to pray more in the Holy Ghost. Praying in the spirit is important because when we pray in our known language, we do so based on the information we receive mostly from our five senses. Unfortunately, we do not always know what we should be praying about, and the right way to pray about them. However, when we pray in tongues, our spirit can use our tongues to pray perfect prayers on our behalf in an unknown language, according to the will of God. This is because our spirit is one with the Holy Spirit and knows the mind of God. It is critical to ensure your words always align with God’s words.
So, when you pray or don’t know how to pray concerning a situation, let the Holy Spirit pray through you in tongues.
