Bible Reading: Romans 10:9-11
Memory verse: John 5:18, “Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.”
Most times, when you speak forth the word of God concerning your life, the carnal and religious mind tends to see it as pride and arrogance. If we are indeed brethren with Jesus, He is the firstborn of many brethren, Romans 8:29 says, “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.” What does this imply? The very same nature of purity, holiness, and righteousness that Jesus has is what we have as a result of receiving Jesus as our Lord and Savior. This is an inherited nature. It is not dependent on what we do but on what He has done and our accepting it. How amazing!!
Do you not realize that the reason why the devil constantly whispers condemnation to us is because he wants us to focus on sin which keeps us running from God, instead of running to Him for help in our time of need. Focusing on your sin cripples you, but focusing on Christ’s finished work empowers you. The Bible truth is that the more you speak forth the truth about who you are in Christ, the more you find yourself mentally and emotional transformed. Our spirit is perfect and does not need to be renewed; it is our soul, mind, will, and emotions that need renewal. It doesn’t matter what you may have done or how wretched you may feel, if you can open your mouth and start speaking who you are in Christ, the change will begin. I confess that I am righteous, holy, beautiful, valuable, and free; delivered from the curse, walking in power, miracles, living a life of favor, and I can do what God says I can do. Signs and wonders follow me.
