The Kingdom Economy: Faith Over Striving

The Kingdom Economy: Faith Over Striving

Bible Reading: Luke 12:20-37

Memory Verse: Luke 12:31 (NIV)
“But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.”

God didn’t create us to be our own providers, constantly striving to meet our needs. We often live this way because of fear, doubt, and a lack of faith. Building faith, in essence, is getting to know who God truly is. When we understand His character, we realize that He is exactly who He says He is: our Provider, the all-sufficient God. He is our Source, Helper, Counselor, Shield, Rewarder, and a very present help in times of trouble.

Knowing Him transforms us into who He says we are. He created us as human beings, not human doers. Once we truly know who we are in Him, we stop worrying about trying to become rich through our own efforts. Instead, we recognize that we are already rich in Christ.

God’s desire is for us to focus on being a blessing to others, to have a heart for people rather than for things. As we pour out into others, God takes care of our needs automatically. His business is to be our Provider, and our part is to trust Him and serve others. Everything we need is already available in His Kingdom.

The Kingdom of God operates through what we believe and speak. Just as we were saved by believing and confessing that Jesus is Lord, we access the blessings of the Kingdom in the same way—not by our hard work or savings, but by faith and declaration.
