The Power of Reflection

The Power of Reflection

Special Verse: Acts 23:11

The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, “Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.”

Reflection:

The Courage to Testify in Trouble

Reflection: Acts 23:11 - “The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, 'Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.'”

It is a misconception to believe that all your troubles will cease once you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. In fact, every sincere Christian must recognize that when they truly commit to following Jesus, they will inevitably face opposition. However, this is no reason for fear, because those who are for you are far greater than those who are against you. Remember that it is an honor to suffer persecution for your faith in Jesus.

The apostle Paul lived his life with this certainty, convinced that he was unstoppable because of his deep relationship with God. This relationship was his secret to surviving everything thrown at him.

When he resolved to return to Jerusalem, many well-meaning believers pleaded with him to reconsider. Even the prophet Agabus, guided by the Spirit, warned him of his coming arrest, yet Paul was undeterred. He was absolutely sure that God was leading him back to Jerusalem and refused to let the fear of persecution stop him.

Knowing your identity in Christ and hearing from God will not exempt you from trials, but it will empower you to face them. By remaining rooted in God’s will and trusting him, you can overcome death. God promises to send you help, ensuring you escape every trap the enemy sets. Today, God's word to you is, "Fear not." Proclaim that you will live and not die to declare the wonderful works of God, just as Paul did throughout his trials, all the way to Rome.
