Bible Reading: Psalm 23
Special Verse: Psalm 23:1
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want."
In Matthew 6:26, Jesus encourages us to consider the birds of the air, highlighting that although they may seem insignificant, our Heavenly Father still provides for them. Some birds migrate thousands of miles, such as from Canada to Mexico, to find food during the winter. With their tiny brains and small bodies, they instinctively follow the God-given guidance within them.
Similarly, we have our own “God instinct” in the form of the prompting of the Holy Spirit. If we follow His lead diligently, we will continually experience God’s abundant provision. God is a loving Father who desires to care for us and be our provider.
Just as birds must obey their instincts to find the resources they need, we too must follow the Spirit’s prompting. If a robin were to refuse to migrate, questioning why it must travel so far instead of finding food where it is, it would face starvation and hardship. In the same way, we must trust and obey the Holy Spirit’s leading, even when it requires us to move out of our comfort zones.
Let God lead you to where the supply is, for His guidance is always perfect. Obedience to the Spirit is key to experiencing God’s provision and care.
