Bible Reading: Genesis 12:1-3; 22:1-3
Memory verse: Genesis 22:2, “Then He said, ‘Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.’ ”
When God called Abraham in Genesis 12, he promised to make him a father of many nations. Abraham probably thought he was going to have several children. After 25 years, he had a second child, Isaac, who was the promised child. After going through so much and eventually being able to birth Isaac, he knew nothing was impossible with God. Later, God asked him to sacrifice Isaac in Genesis 22, and he didn’t wait a day to do so. Isaac was a single seed which was all God needed to bring billions of children for Abraham. No matter where we are in life, we are never seedless, and that is all God needs from us to bring us to the place of walking in His abundance and being a blessing to the world. The blessings of God start with a seed which we all have. I have learned that we have a God that is an expert at using the insignificant given to Him to work wonders
