Special Verse: Romans 12:2
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
How many times have you prayed, asking God to change you? One of life’s fundamental truths is that genuine transformation begins with a shift in mindset. You become what you focus on. If your mind isn’t set on God, He won’t change you. The KJV clearly reveals that our pursuits in life are shaped by where we place our thoughts—what we continually feed our minds.
Achieving this shift requires self-discipline, a price that many are reluctant to pay. It’s easy to follow the path of least resistance, which is why so much darkness prevails in the world. The moment you commit to self-discipline, challenges will arise to test you. But here’s the secret to spiritual transformation: expose yourself to the Word of God, for it is the Spirit of God. By disciplining yourself to remain in the Word and not in the world, you allow the Holy Spirit to work within you. Without that discipline, lasting change will remain elusive.
